DriftLock LLC d/b/a TIP
Last updated: June 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how DriftLock LLC, doing business as TIP ("TIP," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TIP platform and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who We Are
TIP is a business-to-business software platform that audits telecom invoices, detects billing errors, and automates carrier disputes for our business customers. Our customers are companies; the Service is not directed to consumers or to children under 18.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
Account and contact information. Name, business email address, company name, job title, and similar details provided when an account is created or when you communicate with us.
Telecom invoice, contract, and account data. Invoices, carrier statements, line-item charges, carrier contracts, Letters of Agency (LOAs), and related telecom account data that you or your organization upload to or connect with the Service. This is the core data TIP processes to perform its audit and dispute functions.
HR/mobility data (where applicable). For customers using mobility cost-allocation features, limited employee and cost-center information provided via an HR report or feed, used to allocate wireless charges.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. TIP does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe collects and processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy.
Usage information. Log data, device and browser information, and records of how the Service is accessed and used, collected to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including auditing invoices, detecting billing errors, and preparing and managing carrier disputes;
- Allocate telecom costs (including via mobility/HR data where that feature is used);
- Authenticate users and administer accounts;
- Process subscription payments through Stripe;
- Communicate with you about your account, transactions, support requests, and Service updates;
- Monitor, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- Create aggregated and de-identified data as described in Section 6;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as follows:
Service providers. With vendors who help us operate the Service — for example, cloud hosting and database providers, our payment processor (Stripe), and communication/email providers — bound by obligations to protect the information and use it only to provide services to us.
Carriers and disputes. Where you have authorized TIP to act on your organization's behalf, we may submit relevant invoice, contract, and account information to telecom carriers as necessary to pursue billing disputes.
Legal and protection. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TIP, our customers, or others.
Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Data Storage and Security
Customer and account data is stored in our managed database environment (currently MongoDB) and associated cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may create aggregated and de-identified data derived from Service usage and the telecom data we process — for example, benchmarks and analytics about telecom pricing, carrier billing patterns, and savings opportunities. This data is processed so that it does not identify you, your organization, or any individual, and is not personal information. We may use and disclose aggregated and de-identified data for any purpose, including to develop, improve, benchmark, and market the Service and to publish industry insights. Because this data does not identify you, our commitment not to sell your personal information is unaffected.
7. Managing Your Information and Your Choices
The Service is provided to business customers, and most data is controlled by your organization. As part of the Service, TIP ingests and processes your telecom invoices on your behalf — managing your telecom data is TIP's job, not yours. Organization administrators can also manage information directly in the Service — including adding, modifying, and removing users, managing account settings and subscription, and uploading or reviewing telecom data — without contacting us.
For requests that cannot be completed within the Service, or to ask questions about your personal information, you may contact us using the details in Section 10. Where data is controlled by your organization, we may direct your request to that organization. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
8. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
