Your contract says $42. The bill says $50.

Nobody checks a per-line rate against a contract every month. So the $8 stays. On every line, every month.

One line on one bill

A company with a dozen mobile lines on one plan. The contract: $42 a line. The bill: $50 a line. Nobody noticed, because $50 looks like what a phone line costs.

Twelve lines, twelve months, $8 each. $1,152, and still going.

How TIP knows

TIP reads your contract once, the rate table and the special terms, and keeps it. Then on every bill, every line is matched to the contract rate it should carry. A step-up the contract allows on an anniversary is not an error, and TIP knows that too.

This is the strongest evidence TIP has: your own contract, against your own bill.

What TIP does about it

Every billing error comes with the line item, the amount and the reasoning, in plain English.

By default, TIP does the rest: files the dispute with your carrier, follows up until the carrier answers, and tells you when the credit lands. Every dispute and every carrier answer is in your Dispute Tracker. No work on your side.

Every errorHigh-confidence onlyNear-certain onlyI say yes to each one

Want TIP to ask first? Your call, any time. Every billing error TIP finds carries a confidence score: how sure TIP is that the carrier owes you the money. TIP comes set to file a dispute for every error it finds, whatever the score. If you'd rather TIP file fewer on its own, raise the bar: file only the high-confidence errors (85% and up), or only the near-certain ones (90% and up), and TIP brings every error under the bar to you to approve first. Or turn automatic filing off, and nothing is filed until you say yes. It's one setting in TIP, and you can change it any time.

Either way, TIP checks the next invoice for the credit. A credit promised and never paid is a billing error too, and TIP goes back for it.
